¡Hola! I'm Maive...
I’m an Argentinean clay artist and author based in the Southeast of England, where I live with my husband. I create boutique, handcrafted miniatures inspired by the sweetness of everyday life — from tiny sculpted cakes and cake‑themed jewellery to small air‑dry clay houses and shops that imagine the little worlds where these treats might be baked, wrapped, and shared.
Each piece begins as a quiet sketch and is brought to life in my cosy home studio, where the kettle is always warm and creativity unfolds at its own gentle pace. My work is made in small, thoughtful batches, with an emphasis on charm, detail, and the joy of slow craftsmanship.

Learn with my book
Miniature Cake Creations
This is my very first book—a joyful guide filled with 30 miniature cake and sweet-food jewellery projects, all sculpted with polymer clay as the main ingredient 🍰✨
Inside, I share my personal approach to sculpting tiny treats, along with the techniques and creative process I’ve been developing since 2010. It’s a gentle invitation into my world of pastel palettes, cosy details, and edible-looking whimsy.
While my way isn’t the only way, I hope this peek behind the scenes helps you discover your own sculpting style—and brings a little extra sweetness to your creative journey 💕

Handmade with love
Every piece I create is handmade with love — thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted, and shaped by the quiet rhythm of my small (and slightly wonky) table by the window. It’s where squirrels and pigeons sometimes stop by as I work, adding a touch of everyday charm to the creative process.
I make small quantities at a time, so items may not always be available. This slow, intentional approach means each piece receives my full attention, from the first sketch to the final finish, resulting in work that feels personal, meaningful, and made with genuine care.
