Hello and welcome to a very exciting post!
Today is a very exciting day for me because my 1st polymer clay book is officially out today!
The book is called "Miniature Cake Creations" and as the name suggests, it covers how to make different kinds of miniature cakes from polymer clay, which became my obsession when I first discovered polymer clay in 2011.
The book is divided intro three sections: Traditional cakes, party cakes and jewellery and accessories; and it has an extensive techniques section with everything you need to know about how to make these mini cakes.
This book is very special to me, not only because it's my first, but because I always wanted to write books, since I was a little girl. I never imagined though, that my first book would have been a non-fiction book. But again, I find myself blown away by life and by what it has in store for me and I'm honoured that it's around a topic that inspires me so much and that brings so much happiness to so many people all around the world.
I wrote this book with first time polymer clayers and more experienced crafters at heart; hoping that all would have something valuable to add to their polymer clay journey, independently from their experience.
On that note, I'd like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Whether you've been following me from the very beginning, or you've just joined me, thank you. Without you I wouldn't have anybody to teach these things to. So thank you for supporting my work, subscribing to my Youtube channel, watching, liking, commenting and sharing my videos, and still coming back for more. Thank you for sticking around to see what's next! You are forever in my heart.
Miniature Cake Creations can be found on the shelves of Waterstone's, WHSmith and Hobbycraft, as well as on Amazon as of today 7th October.
The release date in the United States is 15th October.
I can't almost believe this happened. But it's real. My book is in real bookshops. My name is on a real spine, on a real bookshop shelf, like I envisaged so many times as I walked past.
Pinching myself one more time.
I did it.
Love & Light,
Mai
